Abigail James & Rowland Sutherland (flute)
Abigail James and Rowland Sutherland have recently begun working together as a duo. Their first performance was at the York Late Music Festival and further performances both with the New Music Players and as a duo are planned. Their repertoire encompasses some fascinating new and recent works including Judith Weir's Gentle Violence for piccolo and guitar, Takemitsu's Toward the Sea and a new work commissioned from Andrew Keeling for the Corsham Festival 2004. Abigail James, Sarah Warsop and Joanne FongAbigail and Sarah began working together with Snag Project in 2001, initially performing Pete Wyer's piece Flap for audiences at the Clore Studio of the Royal Opera House, Greenwich Dance Agency, Tate Britain and Queen Elizabeth Hall (South Bank). Future plans include a choreography of Gilbert Biberian's Six Haiku. In 2003, Joanne Fong created a short dance film for Phil Cashian's guitar solo Black Venus.
